RED ROCKET PROPELLED PARACHUTE FLARE

SOLAS GRADE RED HAND FLARE

The SOLAS grade red hand flare is not the same as a road flare. This flare produces 10,000 cd (like looking at a welding arc) for one minute.

LIFEBOAT SMOKE SIGNAL

This is a floating orange smoke signal originally designed for use in lifeboats. The lifeboat smoke signal is now used in commercial life raft equipment packs along with flare kits for commercial fishing vessels. Meeting both USCG and SOLAS standards it provides four minutes of dense smoke for daytime signaling.

Pains Wessex 15 Minute Smoke Signal

Pains Wessex manufacturers the 15 minute floating orange smoke signal in two models, with and without lights. The model with lights is commonly referred to as a "Manoverboard" and does not meet USCG requirements. The model without lights is commonly referred to as a "Bouysmoke" and is USCG approved.
