Watermakers
We sell watermakers manufactured by Katadyn. Over the past years they have also gone by the trade names of PUR and Survivor. The 06 hand held model is the only watermaker we are aware of that will fit into a life raft and we offer it as an option for every raft we sell. It is an extremely reliable, easy to use unit that will dramatically increase your chance of survival if you are forced to abandon your vessel.
We also provide service and testing for the Katadyn 06 watermaker. Katadyn recommends that your 06 watermaker undergo this service every other year. Testing includes:
• Flushing the system to remove biocide
• Measuring the output flow of fresh water
• Measuring the salt content of fresh water output
• Reintroducing biocide into the system and packaging for storage
This service is available for $75.00 per watermaker.
