Westpac Marine specializes in life safety equipment. While our primary focus is on the marine market, many of the items we supply are used in shore based applications. We were founded in 1984 and have been a distributor for companies such as Mine Safety Appliances and Switlik for most of the time we have been in business. You can rely on our expertise and the fact that if we do not know the answer, we will tell you so and help you find the answer.

- Imperial Immersion Suits are in stock. These are the choice of the industry and are manufactured so that they are true to size.
- June 2011: We have now started posting articles giving technical insight in to some of the products we sell and service we offer. Hopefully you will find our "Tech Files" useful.
- May 2011: A USCG advisory strongly urges vessel owners to replace their EPIRB's with GPS enhanced EPIRB's.
- April 2011: The USCG has announced the phase out policy for life floats.
- December 2010: we are now manufacturing sail ties and buckle straps. Check them out on the straps and webbing page.
- March 2010: The production of Automatic Release Mechanisms for the S10xx series of EPIRB's has been discontinued. We no longer have any in stock.
- Rearm kits for Mustang, Stearns, Revere, Bass Pro, Cabela's and SOSpenders inflatable life jackets.

Where are life rafts manufactured?
Swtilik and Winslow rafts are manufactured in the United States. Zodiac comes from France while Avon's are made in Hungary. The hulls of Sea-Safe, Elliot/Crewsaver and Revere rafts come from China. Most Viking's are manufactured in Thailand.

MOM-8 and MOM-9 Servicing:
MOM-8 or MOM-9 units that contain no additional equipment
such as flares may be shipped by ground within the United States without having
to declare them as hazardous material. Our page on MOM servicing has
further information.

Westpac is located in downtown Tacoma, WA, just a couple of minutes from the freeway.
The closest moorage is at the Dock
Street Marina which also provides easy access to the museums
and sights of Tacoma.
